This summer I am working on a brand new project with a stellar team of BBQ veterans. Taking a minor detour from classic Italian cuisine (but staying put at Del Posto), I am part of the team behind Pig Beach BBQ, a pop-up barbecue joint and beer garden in Gowanus, Brooklyn. I’m joined by Shane McBride (executive chef of Balthazar) and Salty Rinse BBQ, run by barbecue aficionado Rob Shawger, Ed McFarland (owner and chef of Ed’s Lobster). e awards this year, and I couldn’t be prouder to work with Rob again on this endeavor.
